Pocket doors are a versatile combination of aesthetic and functional possibility. Disappearing into the wall to reveal the complete opening, they can be used to make a statement, as well as saving space. The various types of system out there encompass a range of technical configurations tailored to specific requirements. Different systems have different structures and methods of installation, so here's a breakdown of Envo Slide and what you can expect.

The Envo Slide system is a self-supporting comprehensive solution for pocket doors, with an invisible top track, full adjustability once installed, and requiring no goal-post structure. Here’s an overview of everything that’s included in the kit

  • The complete structure.
  • An access pocket, which allows you to retrospectively install the door once the walls have been closed up and makes it possible to remove the door without having to resort to destructive access.
  • A top track, which can be fully concealed, leaving a fine 18mm line in the ceiling.
  • All structural vertical profiles including the slam post, lead jambs, and back post.
  • Horizontal cross rails.
  • Batwing seals for the slam post, along with brush seals.
  • Running gear.
  • Door guide profiles.
  • And all the necessary fixings and connection brackets that you will require.

There are also some extras you can add onto your kit, such as:

  • Soft close or soft open mechanisms for doors that weigh up to 120kg.
  • Flush timber doors that can be primed for painting or veneered.
  • An auto-eject device (note this is not compatible with the soft-open mechanism).
  • Fire rated FD30 options.

You could also upgrade your kit to suit a thicker door: for example, a door leaf of 54mm or even more, going up in 10mm increments to 84mm thick.

It’s important to note we do not supply any I beams or timber studwork. Our pockets doors are self-supporting by design and are supplied this way as standard – this is an important consideration as many other systems require a goal-post structure to take the weight off the kit and the doors.

Hopefully, you have found this blog helpful in giving a quick overview of what the Envo Slide kit includes, as well as the optional extras available. Please do get in touch with us at info@envo.co.uk if you have any questions at all, we'd be happy to help.
